Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; And confirm for us the work of our hands; Yes, confirm the work of our hands.

Rainbows and weddings

Bottled Rainbows {the button}

I posted a couple of days ago about "Bottled Rainbows", a new quilt project by Rachel Hauser I'm excited to try. She has posted the first supply list over at her blog, http://www.stitchedincolor.com/ , if you want to play! My own stash is light on solids so I'm going to start collecting now. I won't be able to get all the Kona FQs at one time but a few here and there are doable! Are you going to join in? Do you have extra of the needed colors? Maybe we can trade!

I also had my first sit-down with my bride yesterday and we mapped out her dress. I am super excited to help her get the dress she wants! There is a ready made dress she loves that is the go-by but it isn't made in ivory so that's where I come in. The wedding is in July but I have so much going on there will be NO procrastinating on this! I swear! I promise!

Off-topic/useless opinion: I Netflixed "Finian's Rainbow" because I remember loving the music as a child. What a disappointment. What a long, horrible movie. No wonder community theatres don't do 'Finian'. *sigh* Sorry, Fred and Petula. Love you guys, though. Also, is "Netflixed" considered a verb?

Netflixed sounds great to me Mickey. Wow..you are almost as much of a pushover as me..LoL! I keep saying, "No more projects"..and they keep rolling in. I'm swamped but just spent the night rescuing friends for a ministry weekend project and am also going to be helping a friend's daughter alter her cotillion dress. Ah well..makes for good posts! :o)

I linked twice to you in my post today, btw. I thought it would be good to mention the re-threading tip. I knew about it but didn't have time to add any real info about Serger use at the time I posted..so I added your tip and a big plug for how to get over the 'learning curve' with a Serger and why they should do so, plus answered some Q's about lost manuals and how many threads you actually NEED..only three. So who knows, maybe you will get some visitors? You're such a good seamstress!
