Satan apparently doesn't like busy and happy holiday seasons. My mom, Ann, (81) was rushed into emergency surgery last night for a blockage. She's stable, in ICU. I'm 700 miles away. Please pray as she heals and we make decisions concerning travel and such. Thank y'all-

Dear Mickey, I'll be praying. I know what that is like.. I had to drive to Dallas from Houston three days before Christmas. I spent Christmas and New Years in a hospital with my father while my family celebrated Christmas without me in Houston last year. It wasn't the Christmas I'd planned...but I must say that the Lord helped me to experience the holidays in a very special way. I often remind myself that interruptions are many times God's appointments for us. He is in control thought it's hard to understand sometimes. Praying for God's peace for you and healing for your mother.
